All photographs shown were taken by Graeme Hull in 2007 at times and locations of the tours.

Killer whales are regular companions to the John O'Groat ferry.

Dolphin and whales frequent the inshore waters feeding on shoaling fish.

Binoculars are available to help spot these more elusive creatures.

As you walk to the locations Graeme can point out the various plants which help make this isolated area so interesting and unusual.

Depending on sea conditions a 1 hour wildlife boat trip from John O'Groats is available. (additional cost £15)

As this tour is so dependent on conditions exact locations cannot be given but will probably include Dunnet Head, John O'Groats, Stacks at Duncansby.

This tour will require some walking (all easy). Boots and suitable clothing are recommended.

Tour leaves Thurso about 9am and returns at about 5pm

Please note. Some of the best times to view wildlife in Caithness are outside our normal tour times. March/April is particularly good for sea bird arrivals and October is the time for watching deer rutting. Tours can be organised on an ad hoc basis during these times.
