The Highland Council Ranger Service organise and run "talks and walks" with very informative guides free for anyone to join. The guides explain the wildlife and sights as you walk. Walks vary in length from 1 - 2 hours up to much longer day walks of 15 miles. The walks are usually themed aiming to see specific birds or particular habitats. Many are family orientated.
Golf
There are a number of golf courses in Caithness. Reay, Thurso and Wick each present their own challenges. Not just great golf but spectacular scenery.
Cycling
The start or finish of the John O'Groats to Land's End challenge whether by the famous, charity or determined individual is a regular feature. The roads in Caithness are wonderful for cycling as they have little traffic and take you through magnificent countryside. We can organise cycle transportation for you
